Hi i have recently noticed there is rust appearing at the bottom of the black vertical bar separating the main rear passenger window from the quarter lite window are these a nightmare to replace.?

You can take the window tops out from the door bottom and clean it up and repaint before replacing - see the attched link which shows you how to start stripping down the rear door www.discovery2.co.uk / Rear Passenger door lock Assy

Some pics of what you will find when you get it out, and pic showing extent of door strip. The U channel on the bottom of quarter glass is a real water trap.
