I want to change the steel rope on the discos winch as its pretty rusty, im thinking of synthetic rope, can anyone reccomend a good replacement ? and what did it cost you ?

I got both my front and rear ropes from the electric winch shop as its local to me, but the ship stuff,

You will need to the replace the rollers with a solid haws aswell

Hawse .. As he says, don't use a roller hawse for synthetic rope, use a solid stainless or Aluminium hawse ..

Decent Synthetic will cost you > £300 for a decent length with decent thickness... cheap Chinese crap <150.... Steel = £40
