thats very cheap , I got quoted 1500 for an internal tanks set up with just mixers on my twin su carbs and 2k for under slung. that was two different places too.

In fairness everyone who doesn't use LPG hates it and few people who do complain about it.
It just 'bothers' me but its most likely unsubstantiated.
I will however stick with petrol because I do not use the car enough to warrant the investment/loss of space etc.
Would quite enjoy a gas only build, I think some folk are getting Megasquirt to run LPG injectors etc.
Would be interesting project, could call it a Veco8

If you want to actually use the load space in your landy it makes sense to pay a little extra to have tanks alternative to the huge cylinder behind the back seats.
Multipoint is the modern way and more refined way of doing it, as long as the installer is not pushing swarf into the cylinders. And nowt wrong with single point, it was used by installers for years and is a simplier system. That it is not recommended for V8 is nonsense.... tis a bit like saying on a straight petrol engine multipoint Efi is the way to go with a V8 and having carbs is not recommended on V8's!
Have an RPi (or similar) timing adjust system linked in the system so power/timing isn't noticeably changed when switching from petrol to lpg. (atleast the switch between them)
Auto switching for EFi engines, manual for carb engines.
LPG prices change dramatically according to the time of year (it is a heating gas afterall)....way cheap in summer months.. e.g was about 55-60p ltre in May-June. Would think 75-80p ltre december-January... Thats the norm....unless you're an idiot and use motorway services. (or live near London)
I use LPG application on phone and TomTom. There's a fair number places to get it from, unless you really are in the back of beyond (in which case you're probs driving DERV with red in!)

Yep, that's winter prices all year round for Londoners then!
There's a small incentive for you with LPG in London too....
No congestion charge in those zones...
There's a small discount for road tax too (only about £20 for the year tho)...

If you're big into off roading, forget LPG!....
Some sites and events organisers do not like LPG. However, some Pay n play couldn't give a rats fart if you're paying to get in, but off roading on LPG is frowned upon and not encouraged in other circles.
Can't see it being a problem myself, but am aware of some horror stories with **** conversions going off roading, so thought I'd mention it.

Yeah Aslong as its properly installed and as the pressure release valve serviced upto date i don't see it as any more danger than a petrol. I never drive it into the congestion charge zone appart from a couple times in the old one just to blast the v8 noise through the tunnel! Met up with a random ferrari and were out making noise in tunnel until 3am !
