The tappet barrels if you want to be technically correct. But if the old ones are flat unmarked with no dishing you would maybe get away without doing that. But it is best practice to change two surfaces that bear on each other at the same time.
I wouldn't risk it, they wear as a pair, put new followers in, or the ones from where the cam came matching the lifters to the cam lobes.
There are diferent power/torque outputs on the various apllications of the M51, I've no idea if the camshaft is part of the different states of tune though.
Correctwhat an idiot, the answers right in front of me, loads of people have swapped engines omega to p38 and had to change various things as the fellas have just said sump, f.i.p and so on, but nobody has ever had to change the camshaft, i think job done! (unless im wrong again ?).
