So... i've been searching and there's a wealth of information out there... only trouble is, I'm unable to put the right bits of it together into some useful information specifically for my vehicle, so here goes...
I have a Disco 1. It's had a 2" lift and has standard length rock sliders. I have not done the "camel cut", but have standard Land Rover alloys wheels with 245/75R16 tyres.
At some point I'm going to need some new tyres, so when I do, what is the widest/largest I can fit to the standard LR alloys wheels without having to buy extra stuff?
Doing the camel cut should be fine, and adjusting things is fine, but I don't want to have to fork out for wheel spacers or new wheels particularly... unless I can sell the alloys for more than the cost of a set of offset steels ......and if that's the case what would you recommend??
...and yes, i've found redhand's sticky post ( http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f8/what-tires-can-i-put-my-disco-43706.html ), but it doesn't talk about standard LR alloys vs offset steels vs standard steels etc... so it's all very confusing in this instance.
