Yeah that's right mate! It's a 1982 2 door! I bought it when I was 20, it looked quite good, and was just before they started to soar in value. It had been sneakily bodged with filler made to look like seam welds on the rear arches etc (I think it would of been faster to just weld it properly), but I drove it for a year and fell in love with the shape and engine! I just love them!
Older and wiser, I'm ready for her! I've stripped it down to the bare shell, I've got all the replacement panels and have a load of parts from rpi to do a top end rebuild on the enjun!

Can't wait to see the car and progress![]()
Does the haul from RPI contain a nice Cam![]()
It does indeed! A piper 'torque max' cam to be precise! Do you have any experience of these? I also bought the duplex vernier kit, and all new hydraulic tappets!
I've also gone for a lecky dizzy upgrade, because the worn out points were pizing me off, having to adjust them almost before every outing, and the fizzy itself was fairly worn. To complete my crazy ten year spending spree I splashed out on an edlebrock intake manifold and single barrel weber 500! I'm looking forward to doing the engine work the most, in fact I had thought if I can't physically do the work to the rangie, of converting my tratter to real fuel and putting this in...![]()
The HP22 is a good box so long as it isn't left unserviced, the Motorway Patrol used Range Rovers and they used to slam them into Reverse at speed to bring the car to an almost instant stop![]()
