Will be fitting my Mud Console soon, but whats the best way of cutting out the holes for the Carling switches etc? Is this the excuse Ive been looking for to buy a Dremel?;) And how about cutting the dashboard?

Dremel and disc cutter... Whatever your fitting in the dash remember to allow space for the cb/radio/switch AND any wires which might come out of the back of it....

Obviously I didn't make such a cock up, nope...that extra cb hole was there when I bought it...honest!

Thanks.

I noticed Buster left the metal top bar uncut, I always assumed you needed to chop the whole thing out?

Point taken, so does it only need cutting depending on what your fitting into your mud console?
I cut the whole thing out when I did mine. I then covered the cut edges with a couple of layers of gaffer tape to protect wires etc from the cut edges.

You can get "grommet strip" for cut metal edges
I didn't have any to hand when I did mine :( If i'd thought about it I would have got some in prior to doing the job but I was faced with needing to get the job done. You could also visit your local scrappy and get an old door seal, slice the rubber seal part off and use the section that fits over the flange of the door.

It's one of those things I'll get round to sorting one day.
