My insurers are saying i need a Thatcham cat 2 immobiliser fitted. Its a 97 disco - Thatcham website says its a cat 1 fitted. Its got the door alarms, bonnet alarm, volumetrics, key fob thing. Would have thought that would suffice !

Can anyone confirm the catagory and anyone else having this problem ?

As u say Thatcham website says its a cat 1.. and it has a passive immobiliser.
I've never had that request so change your insurance provide unless u live in an iffy area then they may all ask for it

Thanks - thought it a bit odd. I live in a pretty good area and the insurer is Adrain Flux / Red Star.
