I need to paint the panels on my landy, but I'm not sure what colour it is. Could it be marine blue?

i think thats too bright to be marine, not sure what it is but marine blue is a bit greyer, if yer know what i mean ;)

I've been told that there are three differant blues, but I don't know what the other 2 are called

Like Yella says - it's too bright fer 'Farmer Giles Blue' - looks suspiciously shiny for a C plater - weren't the arches black back then too? If I'm right and it's a respray then lots (and I mean lots) of luck matching it perfectly without going to a bodywork speshlist.

Better idea would be paint them in a complementary colour - y'know, Jaffa 'ferkin' orange or radium green would be a good bet - it'll stand out a little less ;)

It's the same colour all the way through, inside and under the bonnet. I think it is the origanal colour, but has probably had a respray at some point, as it is a bit shinier than you'd expect.

i really doubt they would do a full inside and out paint job so id say its the original paint.
have a look here colour chart 2 but to be honest id say your best bet is to go to a landrover dealer/showroom and ask there for some colour touch up paints , then try them for a match.

Found a tin of paint in the workshop today, i'm sure it read very faintly windjammer blue. Might be another one you could look up.

who was the first reg owner?
LR did all sorts of special colors to the post office/BG/norweb etc etc.......
