Hey guys,

I have replaced my 17" tyres with 15" ones. Now I am looking for advise on which type of AT tyres to get for them.

Any suggestions?

Rich

Do you suggest going for

or

R15" - 225/70/15, 225/70 R 15

I currently have 195/60r15 normal road tyres. They look a bit too skinny tbh. I don't know what would be the best and most suitable upgrade. Could also do with more ground clearance.

First you have to figure what the mission is.
A- What do you want to accomplish
B- what look do you want
c- What are you going to do with them off road , on road or just look cool on tarmac.
D-Only you can answer these questions, you have to pay and then look at it

A - Be able to go green laning and gain more ground clearance
B - As big and as wide as possible within a budget of around £85 per tyre
C - Mostly road use but also some green laning. I want something that will compensate for my downgrade of wheels. As I've gone from these:

The GG AT2 phase out thing was something to do wiff noise regulations. Think they had to change something in the design but not sure. Difficult to get hold of for a bit, but then I got one when camskill got some more in. Whilst all that was going on the uhp version came out. I think it was assumed they would use this instead of the AT2. AT2’s are still on sale.

Get copper best for money should be able to get 50-60,000 miles on proper tire rotation.I've got them on my f350 super duty crew cab and are just great 50% off road 50% on road. So should work out good.

Rich go to the disco section and the first thread should give you the info you need to make a good choice:D

But I don't know what my limitations are on the Freelander. All I need to know is what the biggest/most suitable size I can get for 15" wheels for a Freelander 1.

On those very same 6 spoke alloys, I have Toyo 785 ATs in 215/80/15. I think these are the biggest size you will get away with on the 15" wheels.

Great in snow, off road and on road. Some useful clearance too (nearly an inch extra).

I have now got my General Grabber AT2's 225/70/15 for my TD4 and for the record, they do fit!

Only downside is that they don't have the white writing on them. :( The bloke at the garage suggested painting them on but I don't know if he was jk!
