hello - I am new to the forum and writing on behalf of my husband who likes his landrover but dislikes computers.
We want to take the landy accross europe but want to get it fully checked out before we go. Hubbie doesn't like main dealers but wants expert advice particularly on transmission and electrics.
The vehicle is 23 years old v8 petrol 110 defender.
We live near sheffield and wonder of anyone has any ideas where we could go to get relaible advice and service if necessary

I use Maltings off road in westwoodside, near Doncaster. They are indy LR specialists and claim to be able to look after any LR from a 1948 series 1 right up to an Evoque. The lads that work there all run landy's as well (mostly defenders but a couple of discoverys)

Good honest garage & not too dear

You could try Doug Dransfield in Stocksbridge, never used him myself (I do my own) but I do buy spares from him occasionally. He's been in the Land Rover game a long time and has quite a following locally for both sales and service.
