can anyone tell me if wheels from range rover p38 will fit the defender, a work mate wants to put the hurricane wheels on his defender,

cheers

No, it would need adaptors .. google is your friend.

It also depends which P38 wheels 'cos some (I believe) had slightly different hole diameters, so a definitive answer can't (I think) be given without some further investigation!

its my old hurricane wheels he wants, i have the nuts with it too as the others i fitted came with nuts, you are correct in saying the wheels have different diameters tho. i will tell him about the spacers!

It depends on the year of the defender i think. I'm pretty sure they will fit on a TD5 Defender and Discovery. Somebody should be able to comfirm it or shoot me out of the water..

P38 wheels will fit D2's so if D2 wheels will fit td5 deependers then by the powers of deduction I have deduced that so will P38 wheels.. :D :D If not then they won't.

Hang on a minute. You have the wheels and your mate has the vehicle you want to know if they'll fit? And you're asking us? FFS:confused:

yeah cos i thought you lot knew yer stuff!!! ffs!!!

i'm gonna take him one so he can see what the situation is but i said i'd ask just to clear any issues up that he may have, mainly them not fitting at all!!!

P38 wheels do not fit Defenders (without adaptors) makes no difference if the they are Td5 or anything else. This means Discovery 2 wheels will not fit Defenders.
surprisingly Freelander wheels will not fit Defenders.

Even if the stud pitch were the same, Landrover have used various different spigot diameters (the hole in the middle of the wheel) that centres the wheel on the hub. As has been said already, you would probably need a fitting kit or a set of spigot rings.
