hi

im 15 and i bought an ex-company car freelander 1.8 for £1000 after 2 years saving and i love it but i feel it would be better if it had some more grip so does any one know what combination of wheel/tyre is best for it

thanx Marcus:confused:

think of it this way daft, if the lad is raggin the arse off a gaylander in a quarry, its one less on the roads, keep up the good work son ;)

or yer could use the sentence "i ragged the arse off my gaylander with the venom used to beat a ginger stepchild"

Mine originally came on 15" alloys. I have just fitted some 16" with the standard fitment 215/65 R16 tyres. I have noticed much better grip when cornering etc as the tyres are lower profile and slightly wider.

Might be worth a try - plenty on ebay

I've got 17 inch wheels shod with Michelin Synchron 225/55/17 tyres. Give good ride quality and grip on road and over moderate loose stuff. Downside to 17 inchers though (apart from the £100+ each cost of the Michelins), is that there are only remould off road bias tyres available, and then only from Colway. :)

wot about....

General - 265/70 R17 [115S] - Grabber AT2

This General tyre has a speed rating of " S ". This gives this tyre a maximum speed of 113 MPH
