You was right 1st time it is clean one ,ha ha the pic was after rebuild..after the smash..was a case of off roading gone wrong, got my right tyre stuck coming down steep hill, the back end came up slowly and over i went (twice)

With those offset rims you need to remove compression or bodywork with a rim that is more suited i.e one that will enable you to keep some bodywork not as much as you think.

It's ever so easy to really limit a motors Offroad performance.

Overly strong springs lift kit coupled with extended bump stops limiting compression can lose the very feature (soft supple suspension) that has maintained land rovers name in the Offroad world.

You'll find that when the suspension is compressed, the wheel will actually move backwards slightly in an arc due to the fixed length of the trailing arms.

Fitting taller springs means that the arms are at a slightly greater angle, and thus the axle moves forward slightly. ;)

Ive removed some of the plastic arch, and cut a small bit of bodywork off behind the rear wheel an it now works a treat. The wheels sit right inside the arch with no sign of rubbing.

Im really busy at the mo but when I get chance I will drive it up something steep and and take a pic. Wheel sits nice and central under compression.

Oh an how far can you go without dislocation cones? Mine seems to have plenty of articulation with no sign of the springs popping out! Although this is just me testing it with a ramp, have not taken it off road for a proper test yet.

Haha. I have cut out some of the metal arch aswel as that was also rubbing.
Really need some longer shocks as the wheels come off the floor beforethe springs dislocate.

I know that lane. Was in good nick until the tw*ts got hold of it!

sorry rant over :focus:

Motocrossers favorite that one. Was speaking to some walkers the last time I was down there an they was actually pretty pleasant about me using it.

Surprising as they usually look at me like im driving through there living room!!
