You shouldn't have to resort to spacers until you get to 35" tyres. Does it rub both sides or just one? When did it start to rub? have you lifted it recently???

What allow have you gone to? LR ones or some aftermarket jobbies? By turning the lock stops out you will lose some turning circle but you will hardly notice. Its not like adding an extra bow thruster would help the QE2 out
