hello guys after a little more advice for tomorrow

went out in the car today with the roof off and as i was driving at lowish speeds there was a wall to the NS.

as i drove past this wall i heard a wheel noise not a bearing noise and really hard to describe

was like a squishy noise ( really cnt think of how to describe it

it was speed related so any pointers would be great
 
Could be so many things.
Drive past the wall again and gently apply the handbrake to see if its related.
See if it changes if you turn hard left or right at higher speed for wheel bearings.
After that drop the prop for rear UJ or prop mount bearings.
Can really think what a squishy noise sounds like.

the only problem i have with some of that is its a left bend on the wall but will try the brake thing i dont no why i didnt think of that

will blame the sun lol
 
I thought that but I have 4 newish tyres 2 month old going to sea the 2 backs over and se if it stops

That's for the ideas keep th comin there could be Sumat I not thought of

My wife describes the noise as a flappy squish noise lol

Does that help lol

have also found it is speed related... boot full with shopping noise louder

after days of looking and searching and testing on the car i have

managed to find something stuck in the tyre so pulled it out and it became a squeak

its speed related and isnt the tyre as i swapped the 2 back ones over it does not go away when you press the brake
 
Is it in fwd mode or 4wd? Can you work out if it's the front or back or in the middle? The problem with this kind of thing is you need to be in 2 places at once. Try getting another person driving past you so you can hear where the noise is coming from.
 
You could whip the props off to eliminate the vcu. Have you lifted the wheel to check the bearing? If the bearing has play it could cause the brakes to scuff. I've come across a loose hub nut before now too.
 
whipping the prop i will do this weekend....


it has no play in bearing and was a new nut when i fitted ABS rings couple months ago and still tight and my torque wrench clicks

its annoying now because i no its there and with the clutch also needs doing i really cant catch a break at the moment
 
If the noise is quite I can't imagine it's anything serious tbh. When you lifted the wheel did you lift the body so the wheel hung down? I'm just wondering if the brake shoes are just dragging slightly because the hand brake cable is pulling a bit when weight is on the wheel.
