I have an 84' 90 and have the same issue. The early axles had bigger hubs than the later ones. If the wheels have a large centre allowing the hub through ( showing) then maybe ok. I have had to get 30mm spacers to fit later wheels to mine. Depends on tyres going on too. I have 265's and they rub on full lock without spacers. Hope that helps bit

Probably not. If you have discs all round maybe if drums on the back maybe.

If drums on the back i meant no. Not with out spacers. I have large steels on mine and just waiting on spacers. If you have a pic will help
Steel modulars fitted with 265/75x16's will fit without any modifcations or spacers, at worst you will need to adjust the lock stops but that is a simple 2-minute operation.

If you are having problems then I can't imagine what they are as steel modulars are a direct fit to Series & 90/110 vehicles whatever the type of brakes. Sounds to me like you are trying to fit some kind of centre hub cap and are not aware that lock-stops can be adjusted.

Mine fit without spacers but rub on full lock i meant. They are exactly that size! Big conways.
Will just get a random 2nd hand one on ebay the same size when one pops up.
Make sure it is the same diameter then.
I always run an identical spare wheel / tyre combo as that way there is no need to swop the wheel again after a puncture has been repaired, the original spare can stay in place and the repaired item carried as the spare. If there hasn't been a puncture (and my current 90 has only suffered one in the last 11-years) I rotate the spare onto an axle to keep wear levels the same. I do this so that when it is time to buy new tyres (as it is now) I can buy a matching set of five rather than mix & match which is handy if you want to use a different type and / or make of tyre.
I took it as read that as the same wheels had been fitted to both a 98 Disco and 2007 Defender it would be a Disco 1 (Disco 2 introduced in 98). Also I have to admit that I have never seen a steel modular for the later axles, not saying they don't exist but I can't recall ever coming across them.
