Wheel arches on their way out.

Needs a door and two wings to get it back to original condition.
Wheels need powdercoated - bare metal inside, rim leak.

All cosmetic he said touching wood before the thousand mile round trip.

45 on motorway cause its drinking fuel, recon its doing less than 25 now just pottering about.

Thinking TDI very seriously now:rolleyes:

My D reg is pretty sound at the mo.

Couple of small bulkhead repairs and the engine needs a good service, other than that its just tatty!

Plan to just keep it on the road for now, tackle the small repairs and maybe repaint it

Nothing wrong with mine mechanically or structurally, just needs a paint & a few plastic bits replacing.

Provided that the weather stays warm and dry next week, I'll be taking the Disco in to have it steam cleaned underneath and waxoyled; all part of the deal when I bought it in January.

And while the garage are underneath it they're going to change the rear propshaft coupling rubber doughnut. I've got a slight vibration at about 60 mph when it's under power, it goes when I ease back on the throttle. Seems like a good place to start, I s'pose.

Before you all start shouting advice at me, it is a GKN part.

Finalised today as I picked up 200 tdi engine etc,

Going to fit 200 tdi then I'll have a turbo:) also going to have Disco rear axle with discs, should be a nice fender when I get round to it:rolleyes:

Well plans for it take another turn as when I took front arches off I found rot on top of the front off side thingy under the bulkhead which also has rot.

Looks like the wing might have to come off to access the repair area so that's knocked me plans back a bit.

Painting it Empire Blue so might be a nice ladies landy when its done, see what its like when it goes back together:)
