Good evening boys and girls, do any of you know what this wire is for? I have just done the heater matrix o rings, not a nice job as i think some one has had the dash out before as there are cable ties on things, screws missing and broken bits of trim. Also i think the screw had been replaced that holds the pipes into the matrix as it was a hardened one and also stuck solid, so it was a bugger to drill/grind out. Anyway done now. Thing is i found said wire when putting it back together (i didnt remove the dash) under the steering column. It could just be a spare as i dont remember seeing it when i took it apart! It seems to come out of a loom that sits in a sort of square channel that runs under the dash. Everyting seems to work although ive not driven the car since so cant say 100%. I have looked on rave but cant seem to find it. Car is a 1997 4.6 HSE.

Look at the number of pins it has and the colours of the wires then compare it with connector views in Elec trouble shooting diagrams. That will give you number for it. Then you'll have to do a bit of detective work on the diagrams or location chart.

We should be ok....wait, whos that at the door???..........:behindsofa:
