Sorry, I just don't get "why".....!

Somewhere to put the kids on long journeys, intercom for toilet breaks and feeding times, peace and quiet for the adults........sounds good to me.

Plus no crisp/food packets every where, sorted
 
No point at all. If the trailer is just that a trailer ok, but i believe it is illegal to have anybody sat in it whilst it is being towed. If that is it's purpose. But maybe it is abroad somewhere with different laws don't know.
 
Maybe the Rangie is a V8 and they use the Escort to tow that with when the liners slip or the head gaskets go.:D:D:D

Here in Ireland it's common to see a Nissan Micra with a trailer on the back loaded with a couple of ton of turf (Peat to the uninitiated), and the trailer does not have any automatic braking, only the "Handbrake".

I guess its been done cos it looks better than a large van?!

Depends on the van tho I suppose!
 
I have got a large ifor williams trailer that i am thinking of converting into a rr classic..........:)
 
Many many years ago while on a camping holiday in The Lakes.

I saw a similar set up, a mini van trailer converted a bed in the back, a cooker under the bonnet being towed by a mini-moke.

Now you're talking...if the RR trailer has a huge BBQ in the boot, a fridge out of either back door and a bed across the top it's cool! I doubt that's it, mind..

Looking again at the photo its a pity they just dropped the Rangie body on what appears to be a caravan chassis.

I'd have modified the chassis and fitted matching wheels instead of fitting pressed tin arches over the original caravan chassis wheels.

How about a 4 wheeled rolling draw-bar Range Rover shell with a detachable draw-bar. Just think of the storage under the bonnet and under the bed in the foot-wells.

If you really wanted to confuse the police/vosa/traffic wardens, you could pull up remove the draw-bar and all they would see is another vehicle with the same number plates as the vehicle in front.......:)
