I've got a drum axel on a 110, and id like it to be disc.

The conversion is simple enough, but when you get to things like the brake caliper mounting brackets at £70 a side, the numbers start to go a bit wrong!

I'm wondering if it wouldn't be more sensible just to buy a whole axel with the brakes etc on it (accepting that it will then need to be serviced anyway) but eBay etc. isn't really telling me what the going rate for them is.

Can anyone give me an indication on what I'll need to pay?

I'm only doing the numbers at the moment so this isn't a "wanted" for much more than information right now.

Funnily enough I am in the process of gathering parts to do this conversion on my station agon project. When i was looking the going rate for a disc Salisbury seemed to be an awful lot IF you could even find one, I am talking about £1000. So i started hunting for the conversion parts needed. Bought the calliper brackets and stub axles new, bought and refubished used callipers and hubs, and still need to make my own 6mm spacer form some stainless I have.
Hubs - £20 pair form spares day
FRC3132 - £15 each x2
FTC3306 - £72 x2
STC1269 L/H)(STC1268 R/H - £20 pair form spares day
Stainless rebuild kit - £60


I am probably about £300 in parts for the conversion, although tat is not cheap it was far cheaper than I could get a disc axle for when I was looking..

£1k has always been the going rate.
(15 on fleabay at the moment)
