:focus: I here lots of stories of guys bunging in big engines in
landys.. escorts un shiit... then fittin bigger brakes, un fat wheels ect..
but theres one word they always forget!.. TRACTION!!!
Theres no point in doing all them mods, if ya cant get the power to the
ground!! and its more difficult that ya realize!!
My brother was into this shiit, bigtime.. mostly american engines, v8
chevi's, small block & big block! (got more bhp with tuned s/block chevi
than the big block!!) but then went on to the Hemi engine, fully blown!!
He built these cars but, like i say, the biggest problem for him was getting
all the power to the ground!!.. Tracktion!! the rear wheels can spin
out of control!! it has to be a controlled gripp, using the power at a
controlled rate!!
Ive seen him test these cars on old air fields, and when the traction is
right, another problem arises.. keeping it in a straight line!!!
He raced a Santa Pod, drag racing!! i used to pour the bleach down
for him!! Madness!! :whoosh:
