after having the dreaded rf reciever battery drain problems sorted a few months ago im starting to think the battery took a bit of a battering from it and its getting tired, dont know the last time it was changed but it does look pretty old. Anyone recommend a decent battery to replace it with, had a quick look on halfords and they say the following should be good enough, any suggestions? Thanks.

Similar type of battery to the halfords one but for under 70 notes.
If you want a better one try to get a bosch silver. They are expensive but I swear by them

Tommo, Petrol or Diesel???

Either should fit. Diesel is heavier duty and more AH. Put a diesel on my 4.6 for a bit of extra starting wumph and security. Got it from the local Walsh & Midgley for around eighty quid with a three year warranty.

well i must be able to see the future! no sooner had i put this thread up i went to go to work last night and its flat! so this morning i had to opt for the halfords battery as im away tonight and needed it running, thanks for all your suggestions and a thanks to zzr1200 for the offer.

now i might be thinking the worst but the horn has stopped working 2 days ago i dont know if its related with the battery problem as something might be draining it down, but hey i guess ill just have to wait and see!!
