I have a td4 freelander, lacking in low down power. I have had a quick look around the engine bay. Whether or not it's the cause, it certainly ain't right. Got a pipe with a filter on end that goes nowhere? It is a vacuum pipe as sucks when engine revs. Anyone know what it's purpose is and where it goes and should the filter even be on it? That is correct.... It's the turbo vent filter........ Well it is if it's down the back right hand side of the engine

He's done loads of searching forums and that what I thought, just wasn't 100% sure. Just seemed odd a random pipe with filter not attached to anything. Any idea what the black curved metal tube by it is for?

you should replace that filter every 12,000 miles
