Depends what colour they are of course.
A Green Defender is better than a Blue S2/3 whilst a Green S2/3 is cheaper to run than a Silver Defender.
If both the Defender and S2/3 are Green then they are equally fun off road.

all true but is a silver v8 defender better and cheaper to run than a blue v8 series 2/3.
bit of a bugger all rnd if you have a red series or defender cos everyone knows red ones dont go uphills

for on road go for the standard series better than the lightweight off road no real difference.
A series vehicle is not really cheaper to run than a 90 tdi only possible advantage is no rfl if pre72 HTSH
H*flods not a cheap source for anything , go to a motor parts factors eg Bucks Auto etc

but green shampoo is not as effective as blue shampoo unless it is a combination conditioning shampoo and even in that case it needs to be combined with halfords max strength anti freeze for optimum efficiency. for more info pm Sirus for the corresponding shampoo graph...
