im looking at buying some wheels off a guy who does not speak english , he has just put 17inch alloys off a freelander 2006 ,he says they will fit any freelander from 1998-2007

when did freelander change to the freelander 2? was it not around 2006 ? if so anyone no the mnth etc

would love the wheels but if from a freelander 2 they will not fit mine i think as im sure the pdc for a fl2 is around 114mm and the fl1 is around 108mm

There are some FL1's that were registered in 2007, but they stopped production sometime in 2006. I suspect in the summer, but I have no proof yet. I posted a few weeks ago asking about production dates, but got no definitive date.

If the wheels are supposed to fit a 1997-2006 FL, then they will be for a FL1.

The 2006 wheels will fit a 1997 model, but not the other way round, as the early FL's had thinner front brakes, and the early wheels hit the later front brakes, unless you fit a spacer. But I believe it should be fine fitting late wheels to an early FL1.

cool mines a 2002 td4 so hopefully they will fit ,ive msg him using google translate asking what the pdc of the wheels are ,just hoping it translated correctly lol

He may be a German speaker as BJ might mean Bau Jahr which in English is Build Year.
