if you get a 110 for under 2000 you will probably need more cash to put into it. for 2000 i would get a disco

with your 2 options and if 2000 is your max then i would go for the series, you will struggle to find a good defender for that money.

whether its disco, p38, series or a depender anything has to be better than a gaylander ;)

have you thought about a project maybe? there have been a few deependers on fleabay recently needing work but not fetching massive money leaving you spare cash to put into it

Well I've just bought my third Disco1 today and I've gone doozil this time, great in the puddles but where's me fookin POWER gone???

Haha at the petrol station, wrong nozzle, I'd have a v8 but my wallet can't tale the hammering off 2 petrol motors specially if the disco has to pull a cattle trailer

i was told of a 98 (r reg) defender truck top last night by a friend. it was a one owner from new and the bloke wanted 2k for it. no surprise it was gone already but it gos to show they are out there if your very quick

A 98 defender for 2 grand? Well that one was nicked. 2 grand will buy you a really good series landy but a 90 or 110 at that price will likely be a pile of ****e.

Range Rover diesels exist.....bit rare though. LPG is going to give approx the same economy as a diesel, so long as the fuel price differential is there; and an old V8 is going to be about the same complexity as a 200TDi or 300TDi anyway.
