Hi all, I require a new transfer box on my 1989 2.5td defender, and was wondering which transfer and gear box will fit? Can I swap for any? I think it's got a lt230 in at the minute

basically yes,all lt230s are the same fitting, though td5 disco has some functions missing like speedo and diff lock and one from a lt85 (25d)has different high low housing and you need to think what high ratio you want ,ie 1.6 ,1.4 or 1.2

i did our conservatory when i was able,get the first row or two right then the rest is easy.
