Hi guys I posted on here a couple of months ago about getting a defender and had to pull out of buying one because the roof needed doing before "the worse winter ever" but back in the market now and torn between a 90 td5 hardtop or a 110 td5 double cab please help.!!!!!!!😱

Do you need the extra space/seats?

I just sold our 90 and bought a 110, as l started using it for my business. In the 110 l can carry tools etc plus people.

And which do you prefer the look of? I like the 110 but some of my friends preferred the 90. The 110 has a better ride quality, but it's still a Defender, so you know when you hit a pothole.

90. They look even cooler than a 110 .. ;)

what you planning to carry.

more steel to rot in a 110 double cab.

knowing what i know now and having a 90 ..... id buy a 110 double cab or CSW to compliment my 90 .... but not instead of.

Hi thanks guys I like the look of them both and won't be carrying anything in them really but thinking the 110 double cab is more practical. Which one would be best for a bit of green laning

I bought a 90 thinking the 110 would be to big but now i am starting to think i should of bought a double cab lol.

I may even assess the situation next summer :)

i have a 110 and wouldn't want anything else. On a recent trip to Morocco we only had one 90 in the group and that was the one that broke both front and rear diffs. It was a 110 that towed him out of the desert to a garage. For me its a no contest, 110 wins hands down.

I bought a 90 which I love dearly but if I had my time over again I'd seriously think about a 110 because there's not a lot of room in the 90. My friend has a 110 double cab and it's roomier, plus you've got the pickup which we fill with firewood and it doesn't mess up the interior.

This year I think I will have the only 90, and I will be doing the rescuing :D

I've had both a 90 hard top and a 110 double cab it's truly whatever your needs are
I'm running a 110 utility purely because I carry tools, the dogs and my kids
If you go for a 110 I personally recommend wheel spacers and adjust the lock stops it really helps the turning circle a lot

As pretty as it is my Double Cab is not so useful as you might think.

It's great for me to go diving in as all the wet stuff goes in the boot and the water can drip out on the way home. The tailgate makes a great seat to sit down on when you put your equipment on as well.

However if I and the misses want to go camping with our three dogs there just ain't the room for a tent, food, sleeping stuff etc. Lucky she has a 110 CSW then.....

So are you saying the 110 is more reliable than the 90 model!

I've done so much to my double cab it's basically a full cab in bits. Full cab is the best, DC has the looks. Can't imagine the 90 having enough space for gear for two people on an adventure but I bad at packing.
