Next job tonight is to replace fuel pump on my TDI. Had a gander at busters guide which is great. He uses a "sealant" on the pump between pump itself and the gasket before fixing it back to the engine. The sealant is orange looking - is it copper grease or something else?

Thanks!

if i need to use anything i use a black Volvo silicone sealant, its good for oil and high temps

Defender 11069 s motor got this when his cam belt snapped in wales , got a little smear over the new gasket just incase , but with a new gasket u can just put a bit of grease on it .
