Hi guys,

I didn't get a fob when I bought the car and the immobiliser was disabled (I can now enable it with the magic nanocom). I want to wire up my Hawke central locking to the 10AS (which i'm sure I can do looking at the pinouts) and use a proper remote to activate the immobiliser etc..

I bought a 3TXA off the eBay but it doesn't not seem to work. I've tried programming it with the 'Pip learn' and 'RF test' function (any remote on that frequency will trigger a flash or honk (oooh errr). Yep, changed battery too.

I can only imagine there are more 'models' than the 3XTA that work, but I can't find out what the others may be so I can order one.

Cheers in advance

Hooooowwwwww mmmmuuuuuuch o_O

I've just done some more (extensive) googling and come up with; Lucas 17TN, Lucas 3TXB, Lucas 3TXD, Lucas 3TXA. Is there any way of telling instead of just licking my finger and waving it in the air?

Last time I asked, a main stealer charged in the region of £130 to supply and program a new fob so 20 odd quid sounds like a bargain to me.

Another thing that goes wrong is that the alarm unit (i.e. the green box that lives behind the dash) gives up recognising fobs entirely. Which might have been why yours was disabled in the first place. It happened to mine and I had to get a new one which now works properly.

Well if you put it like that... ;)

I paid £10 for this one I have (that doesn't work). I guess there is also the chance that the fob is the right one, but brokedy?!?

If I was you I'd try a new fob and then maybe think about a new green box if that doesn't work. Mind you, that was a bit steep as I recall.

Well, mine is listed there so i'll buy one of those too ;) Good find Mr Brown

Now the issue is getting to the damn box!

You've got me double-thinking now.

I'm sure my GPS tracker has a couple of spare ooodjamaflips so I could even wire the central locking via that too.

SMS activated central locking. Why not.

Just tried a 17TN and same issue.

Maybe it's the 10AS unit itself (and why it has been disabled)

I managed to immobilise my td5 shortly after getting my nanocom but didn't have a key fob so was a little buggered!! - found a guy in the new forest who supplied a key fob and re-programs jobby for £50 - when I get home ill find his web site if you want it?
