Hi i have a Range Rover P38 2.5 DSE 1996 manual. I dont have a service book of my RR and i dont know what kind of oil i have to use. Syntethic, semi syntethic or mineral oil, what kind of viscosity 10/40 10/50 or what. I have 190.000km on clock. Should i change oil of my gearbox??? what kind of oil i need fot this gearbox??? is a manual gearbox.

10/40 semi is fine for your engine.

I use 5W40 full synthetic, others say use mineral just change it more often.
Download RAVE, it has the owners manual, the service schedule and the recommended oil specs.

Down load from here. Manuals If you live in a hot climate 10W 50 maybe better for a high miler. Change engine oil and filter at least every 6000 miles or even more often on a diesel. Semi synthetic is called up but mineral oil changed more often is also good.
