thinking of selling my car but not sure what it is worth. its a '01' 51 plate freelander gs td4 manual 5 door. it has 178000 miles with part service history. it has light guards, side steps, spot lights, roof lights,cb radio,twin electrics tow bar.all the electrics work as they should. its a good runner with a few scratches and stone chips as you would expect with a car of this age. if anyone could give me an estimate i would be very greatful as a garage offered me only £800 as part ex

difficult to say without seeing it, high mileage td4 5-door should be looking at 1.5k to 2k for a private sale if its a good runner.

I would guess at £1500 for a quick private sale.

The £800 trade in is about right, not only do garages want to make money on the car they sell, they also want to make money on the car they buy in.......
