Yeah was thinking about insure it for 2.5k but will never be able to have the same for that money.

You struggle to buy a half decent 90 for 2k let alone all the extras.
Alarm and tracker next I think.

I have security devices which I don't want to state on here, but tbh there is very few car thefts in Hertfordshire.

its only worth wot someone else wants to pay for it but my be worth 10k in your eyes
o an you have to be over 25 to get a guaranteed value

Oh the benefit of being a old git.

The priced paid for fender + what ever you added to would be what a fare value would be wouldn't it ??????????

Lancaster insurance asked for 6 photo's of my 90 / Defender. it's a 1990 with a 300TDI and R380 box. Rebuilt in 2009. It has a similar spec to the OP's.

They valued it at £9500.

That's more than twice what I paid for it.

I suspect they mistakenly added a trailing zero to their valuation

What insurance company you with?

I valued my 1992 90 at £4000 as its all stock when i picked it up. Adding to it as i go.

How i see it is that insurance companys will pay out what they say book price is worth and if you have proof of value of the extras they will make a offer on them.
I think they just up the policy price if you have more bits on the car because its more likely to be nicked. When ever i have had wheels or other bits and bobs on my cars in the past, i have told the insurance that i'd not want them replaced. That way they know about the parts and i dont pay over the odd's to insure it.
