Is that an ABS ring?Continuing along with the changing of the brakes .,..
Can anyone tell me what axle I have on the back of my 90 by looking at this brake disk setup ??

Blimey they're not cheap.It is .... it's held on with 5 wee studs and 10mm nylocs. FTC1379
I always wondered what the wee holes were for of the brake disk ...
No good for me on my 1994 300tdi, I think the axle is a replacement (Disco ?) by the PO/renovator.
Anyone need a spare or two ?

Cheap enough, so no big deal.I've just taken my nearside hub off hoping to repack the bearings rather than renew as I did with the other side due to oil getting into the bearings from the axle... Yeah I don't think I'll be repacking with races like this... I guess that's more work for me later on now, a very familiar story with Landys and jobs escalating.

Yeah I have another kit so not a huge deal, I just planned to be lazy as I don't have that much time before I head off on friday.Cheap enough, so no big deal.
You're right though, jobs always get bigger than you think.
I think they're from the rollers, the inner race has marks too but not as bad, and they're only on one side of the races. Possibly something to do with sitting for a while or being jacked up with a lot of force to that side? That's what im thinking as I know this Landy had been off the road for 20+ years, I believe it did move periodically but not from the guys driveway. Those marks are strangely evenly spaced

When im done with this that'll be both fronts done with new Timken bearings! I think the rears seemed ok last time I checked so hopefully they're good for a bit longer at least.Time for new bearings then ... Timkin and a Coteco seal, new tab washer and new gaskets ...
Check your breathers and pop the drive flanges off to see whats going on! This is exactly what I've been dealing with recently on the front axle of my 1988 110... totally blocked breather seems to have forced the oil from the axle out the ends and then through into the bearings on both sides. There was no visible grease left, just oil everywhere.Next thing is I've spotted an oil leak from the wheel hub centre caps front and rear nearsides. I do hope that's not going to be a pain. Would that be axle oil?
A bad earth. It’s nearly always a bad earthIve just changed all the dash lights back to standard. Was told led's would give a brighter dash but no ! the indicator lights were all working, but the dash light only came on, either right or left, depending on which way the bulb was inserted. but never both sides together. What a pain in the A**E. Went in for MOT and failed as the off side indicators didn't work. Only the front and front wing ones. The rear one is fine, as are all the near side, but they were all fine the day before.
What can be the cause. I'm completely baffled. The actual lights are all led replacements, and have been fine for last 4 years.
