Hi,just dug out of the garage this gearbox does any one know what it is from these numbers ?
Gearbox 111808273

Transfer box MARSHALL 2 219467.

It's the 111808273rd gearbox of that type, probably from a 1958 Discovery prototype.

 

thought it was mine!

lets have a piccy sometimes reconditioners use dates as serial no, i presume it looks like a series box

flat plate rather than dished on the back suggests its a 1ton box

That box came from a series one from 1950 ish on to early 58 series two.the dip stick and top filler cap say so.Internals much the same as early two A but late twos 67 on had the strongest series box,hope that helps.
