Okay so Wikipedia and general googling says the facelifts have BMW engines yet my vin says L314.

I'm so confused, can someone identify it please?

Engine is BMW. L314 is the model number for the Freelander, regardless of body and engine choice.

Land Rover L314 Freelander
Land Rover L359 Freelander 2
Range Rover L322 Sport
Land Rover 110 Defender

Unless what I understand is wrong

Ah when I refreshed earlier it only showed me the one reply saying it was a BMW engine, I see you edited

Because I like the freelander and its not too expensive on insurance. It was either this or a Jimny
