Short runs are what kills older cars. A good beating down the A1 is what they need. Gives everything a chance to get nice and warm. Plus burns of any soot and coke deposits that have been building up.

I agree she needs to be driven but it boils down to time working 6 days and sleeping on Sunday don't leave much time for a weekend car. So leaves me 3 options sell, leave to rot or use for work. I would use for work but need to change insurance and suffer trippling my fuel bills. After Christmas down to sensible hours so have weekends back to enjoy her again. Maybe I just need to take for a blast and realise why I bought her in the first place.

Today was a reasonably productive day!

Measured preload and fitted shims on the V8, preload is now 0.040", smack bang between the required 0.020" -> 0.060".
Fitted new vacuum hose from servo to inlet manifold (still waiting on that).
Fitted new fuel pump into tank and sorted out some fuel lines, got one more to replace before clipping it all into place.

Hopefully can get the boot floor supports in tomorrow then the boot floor can go back down! Then the interior goes back in! Can't wait!

Fitted new rear shocks this afternoon, fronts and track rod to do tomorrow, then get the tracking done, if I finish in time.

After being a bit down with her I went out and washed her this morning then took her for a spin was only out to bookers for some things and back. Stupid I know but I couldn't keep the smile off my face the whole time lol.
