I have seen many different types of extended arches for sale ,at diffent prices ,

My disco 1, 5 door is used mainly for laning and soon i might try pay n play

my problem is my insa tyres 235/85/16 are hitting the body when offroading even tho ive cut the bodywork out .

I have seen the extended arches on ebay , that allow you to cut lots of bodwork out the way ,but i wondered if there was a trader someone could recommend .

I do very narrow lanes and the sides rub on lots of banks and brambles
 
I went for the Flatdog ones, as the other cheaper ones do not bend/flex they just crack.

If you are going to spend, might as well do it right than twice!

Might i just say your discovery looks the dogs dangleys ! love it ......a lot

what is the airfilter you have ? my south down isnt connected yet

I used to have a 'performace' filter fitted, but to be honest it wasn't up to the amount of air these engines need, as it kept cutting out - thought it was a problem with the snorkel and pipework at first...

So then I managed to shoehorn in the 200 air filter, as they are perfect with having the side exit ready for the snorkel - plus it only cost me a fiver from Billing, and then sold the pipe work that came with it (as I never needed it) on ebay for £15.00 ;)

I just welded a plate on the top little pipe so its now all sealed and watertight.
 
Cracking job ! airfilter hunt now on !

Do you off road her? i also notice yours is EDC model as is mine

Yup, although not major serious stuff, but do the lanes, Salisbury, the courses around Bath & West, and Billing etc....although this year Billing was quite dry on the water front....didn't really need a snorkel.....

That was bloody quick :eek:

Yep, looks like the one I got - just treat it to a new filter - only about £8.00.

Then you just need to cap off the top inlet pipe, and make up a bracket to mount, and I also trimmed down the size outlet to give my piping a bit more room to bend round 90 degrees in the wing as I fitted reducers to get to the 2.5" radius for the southdown size of pipe, so room got a bit tight - and jobs a good one ;)

Yeah theres a landy breakers 2 miles from me :) allways has stuff in cheap

the filter inside was glued to the end cap ! ive peeled it all off ( heres where you tell me its supposed to be like that ) lol ordering the flexi arches tonight £150 on the bay ,£168 on the we site :confused:

Ahh as i suspected wasted my time getting the filter off the lid DOH...............
Cheers for the links bud , ive made a bracket and removed the pipe and welded it up , now i need a reducer and a large clip/strap to hold it nice n tight
