Hi.
Took the engine out of my car today. Wow what a fight!! Nearly every single nut and bolt was either seriously tight all the way off or rounded nut head!! What a pain in the bum!
I left the gearbox in and removed the front panel that holds thr bonet up.
Also i had to grind the front bumper off as it was welded on....
To top it off the engine crane I borrowed sunk quite fast. But the engine is out. Thank god!!
I do have a quedtion..... took the engine out and have found the front oil seal ****ing out on the gearbox. Is this a job easily done in situ or is it worth taking the gearbox out to do it. Which will make fitting thr engine a little easier once rebuilt.
