So following my dad leaving the car with a flat battery on a hill on new year's eve (1 mile journey with full heat, heated seats, sat nav, radio, full beam apparently wasn't a good idea... ) I decided to finally put in a decent sized battery.
So I removed the piddly 570A, 57Ah one, and put in a big chunky one... and then realised that the connectors were on the other side of the battery this time, so the leads didn't reach... Typical! :p

Should have ordered an Alphaline 135AH 1000CCA from Battery Megastore with the connections in the right place:D

Good 'Start' (no pun intended) to the year!!

Battery supplier should have a similar with terminals in correct position? That Alphaline (recomended by Datatek) 135AH 1000CCA from Battery Megastore sounds perfect.

I know but I leave in a couple of days and I wanted to get it done beforehand. Still, new one has a noticeable faster crank and a bit of high tension DIY was all that was required :)

I put the biggest strongest battery on my P38 and the connecters where the wrong way round so i just moddified the leads, putting a lot stronger battery on has cured my hot start problem, it now starts first crank hot or cold.
