Whilst repairing my heated seats I found I have a wet footwell on the drivers side, not soaked and not much of the underlay, and only in the corner by the seat nearest the door, I've read up on the o rings and pollen filter problems but is there a way to check which is leaking? It feels a bit oily so I thought o rings but it doesn't smell of antifreeze and I haven't noticed a drop in the water level, and the carpet is pretty dirty so mite explain the oily feel,
 
If it's the O rings get you head under the dash with a torch and you can see deposits in the heater vent to the footwell.

Yes but not that wet as the water runs down then under the carpet.
It's may be more likely that the pollen filter drains are blocked especially if the intake foam has gone.
