Yeah Keith, but a 2CV with it's standard pig in the back is easy meat even for a Moped.
It's possible to get 2 pigs or 4 sheep in the back of of one of those old corrugated 2CV's. Impossible to beat them away from the traffic lights as they ignore them and don't stop

No that's because they can't stop have you ever driven one? Think the pigs and stuff were part of the spec.
stick some piccies up then wammers...them 928's are great bits of kit
Will do if i ever recover it from under the debris in the garage.

Yes I've driven one, also been driven round the periphique in one driven by a crazy frog, tilted over so far round one roundabout that the flip up window on my side seemed as if it was almost touching the ground

The outer door skin on mine used to flap up whenever a lorry overtook me on the M11. Great fun tho'. 3 metre lengths of c/h piping - no problem, under the seats. Long ladder, no problem - roll back roof and stand it upright behind the front bench seat. Deep snow, only the 4WDs and the 2CVs out and about.

I think I paid £7.50 for a replacement door, complete with lock and keys.
It never needed tuning or timing in the time I had it. Always started. I substituted the heating system with a rug and gloves.
Motoring of a different era. Youngsters today will never enjoy the silliness of it all.

the 2CV is gradually being replaced with "Sans Permis" Little cars you can drive without a driving licence
Early ones used a single cylinder diesel off a cement mixer or dump truck. Amusing to watch them bouncing when idling at the traffic lights. Newer ones use 3 cylinder diesels and even come with aircon.Rob Dublin

Red can still be found for 1 a litre I think if you look hard enough. En Vrac, fill your own containers
Lesson I learned... 2 bottle of red: good. 1.26 bottle of red: not so much.
Wish I'd spent the 74c extra the next morning while hugging the bowl....

I didn't say it was good, some of it doubles as intercooler cleaner
You can still get drinkable red for 1 a litre if you buy it from the bulk supply to fill your own containers

I always thought that was because if they stopped the smoke from the exhaust engulfed them and they couldn't see the lights change.

Either that or they have no brakes left.
146p per litre in the Isle of Man (just come down 2 pence). TOTAL rip off!! Saving a bit towards the parts whilst she is off the road for a week but missing the comfort and power of a smooth V8 as she has been a bit lumpy lately. Was missfireing (not too bad though) all round Scotland a fortnight ago but still did 70/80 (didn't seem stressed) on the way back.
ps. Had a Porche (white) 928 many years ago, the chap who bought it lost his licence a week later!!! mean machine.
