Hey folks, MOT time has come and gone and left me with a list as long as my sleeve (almost as long as my arm, but not quite). A major part thereof seems to be welding of various points on the chassis. Within 30cm of the rear body mounting and another bit on the rear cross-member. What I need is someone that doesn't live too far from me (Glossop, Derbys) that knows how to weld! I am picking it up tonight and going to have a good 'ole look at it myself, but I haven't welded anything in 20 years and don't want to nawls it up!

Any info would be great but if anyone fancies getting paid to do it, you've got the job!

Let me know on here and I'll post some pics of the areas in need....

Hi mate, who did you take it to for the mot? Where abouts in Glossop are you? I'm in hadfield but I get my mate to do all welding. But he's abit busy.. Loads going on at the mo!

I'll take some photos tonight and post them. I got the MOT done at Charlesworth Garage. I haven't used them for a while but just wanted to get it in and see what was what? Where does your mate do his welding, does he have a garage or does he do it from home? I don't think the job is too big but I can't do it myself!!

Just does it at home. Il have a chat with him and see if he would be interested. Was it just welding that it failed on? Are they any good up there? I took my last car to wooly bridge garage at the bottom on mottram moor and they were spot on. Not had the landy in there yet. Hallam bros in hayfield are also pretty good I think.

Where abouts is the rust?

The garage used to be pretty good to be honest. I'm gonna go get it now and report back with a more exhaustive list!

As promised, in all it's, erm, unglory. Not too bad I don't think. Certainly not as bad as I first thought....
