You mentioned the brake vacuum pump in an earlier post - did you rule that out?

If you leave it in 5th and drop the clutch does it stop?

Might be worth alternately taking one prop off and driving in diff lock to see if that makes a difference - isolates part of the drive train

Station House, when the 110 was in getting the timing belt done in a local 4x4 garage he checked the pump said it was good. However my servo is knackered, so its old school heavy braking for me..

I,m sure it stops when i drop the clutch, but that could be me lying to ma sell. I,m replacing the servo next but a genuine one is over 300quid:eek:. So i,ll see what i can find at work first:D.

The prop removal will be next. its been mentioned before by an other member so i,ll see if that cures it. The sun is trying to come out here so my gea it a bash today, cheers.

If noise is only in 5th and goes when you press clutch, could it be your 5th gear whining? ( I know it sounds too obvious to be true but i thought i would throw it in anyway:D) Good luck, nothing worse than a noise that dosent affect the ride but grates on ya.

Mick that was one of my first thoughts, but a few lads from work (VM,S) rulled that out , and to ma ear which done mean much it sounds futher forward. Allways thought it was comming from the L/H side. I had whine in ma wee 90 box, and it sounded different.

And by god does it grate on me!
