Theres probably a gap between the top of the rear door and its seal !
My rear floor was wet, and i noticed one day, after washing it, that water had entered from the top somewwhere, ( not the roof ). Got inside the back and noticed about a 6mm gap.
I adjusted the top hinge in a bit, and it hasnt leaked since. ( no wonder Landrover went bust ! ) Poor workmanship at the factory.

Maybe hes thinking of Rover
The water on my boot cover comes out of the light above the boot.
It runs across the headlining, and sometimes, when I start driving, it sloshes around and a load of it comes out of the light fitting :-(
I haven't had time to strip the headlining out yet but it is on my to-do list...

If you have a sunroof its most probably that, i had the same until i took them out and resealed. Easy job took about an hour, and you can do it without removing headlining.
I found it easier to take the headlining right out and leave it out while I checked for leaks after the resealing.
The roof bar mounts also leak.

Sorry. What I meant was, Landrover is one of the best known brands globally, and its such a shame that we are,nt/wer,nt able to keep hold of it. some of the finishing on Landrover products was appalling.
Ironically, one of the best cars Rover ever made was the 75 !. ( but then it even had " BMW " stamped on the wheel nuts !!!! ).
My point being, we still have the Mini, but it sure aint made by British Leyland.
New Landrover products are just brand names now, with very little " genetic " connection with the home grown Landrovers.
The Defender is about as " pure " as Landrover can get at the moment, but for how long ?.
Maybe its just me, but I,m sure that in 30 years time there wont be loads of old Discovery 4,s being simply maintained by the roadside in far of corners of the world !.
Its just my opinion.
