Hello,

I'm Yves from Mauritius Island.

I removed my propshaft few years ago and I decided to put it back.

I noticed 2 washer on the shafts (Front & rear) and I don't know if I have to removed those to fit the new ones coming with the bearings.

Attached are pics of the washer on the shafts.

thank you for your advice

Best regards
Yves

You should get new ones with the bearings - take a note though of the way round they fit against the bearings - people have tried to put them on the wrong way round.

Was it because the bearings were noisy that you took the props off?

The washer you are pointing to remains on the propshaft. The two smaller washers that come with the bearings go onto the VCU, each side of the bearings.
DON'T take the finger off the propshaft.

Hi Guys,
Thank you for your reply. removed the shaft because of my differential (noise).

So if I understand well these 2 washer remains on the shaft.
Received 1 paire of washer for each bearing, already put 2 washer 1 per bearing on the VCU, see pic.

The 2 other washer I will have to put them on the shafts (Front and Rear), just place them for the pic, see pic

Thanks again
Yves

You don't need the 2 extra washers (flinger) on the propshaft ends (bottom pic) The 2 original flingers are all that's needed. The extra 2 will stop the shaft slitting into the bearing recess.

Sorry I thought you were referring tho these washers

As shown in your left hand pic.

Have you replaced the VCU and differential as well?
