Morning.

I've had a LR2 2012 SD4 HSE for a few years now and have already found solutions to several niggles on this forum. My latest issue seems to less straight forward but I hope some might be able to help.

A couple of days ago I was driving along, put my indicator on, everything was OK but after a couple of seconds the indicator noise from the dash just stopped. I could still just about hear the relays clicking and when I checked the indicator lights they were all working as normal. The green arrow lights flash on the dash. It seems to be only the audible noise that has stopped. I've since realised that several other related audio notifications no longer work, seat belt not worn, key in ignition, head lights left on etc.

I've checked the fuses that seemed relevant, the FDx block in the boot and they are all OK.

The sounds from the parking sensors is working fine.

I've found this 👇 similar thread but unlike this chap all my audio system is original and again seems to be all working fine.

Any advice much appreciated!

My guess is the sounder or the sounder driver in the Ipack has failed, or possibly has a bad solder joint. Unfortunately lead free solder isn't as long lasting, as good old fashioned leaded solder, which is why leaded solder is still used for all military applications.
I've read of this issue on various Ford vehicles, and a couple of FL2s, but it's not particularly common.

thanks @Nodge68

Any clue if it's something someone with the correct diagnostic equipment would be able to find out? It looks like there are some fault codes relating to "sounders" but I wonder if they're more to do with the alarm system.
