Get you old ones refurbed mate. Probably Cheaper and more reliable than used ones

how much is a refurb likely to cost and how long does it take ? need the car everyday so was thinking just a replacment

Doesn't actually take long to do, Could easily turn 4 around in a morning (once removed) youd just have to wait for the post. Do a google search for companies that do it for prices. As they are fairly common for failing you could put used ones in and be in the same position in a couple of thousand miles.
