Raider td5

Hey guys...

I have a defender TD5 2001, I wanted to delete my EGR so I removed the small vacuum hose that connects to the EGR actuator and i plugged that hose.

My question is, is this a safe way to cut off egr? Will this have any effects on the ECU or anything else like the engine going into limp mode or something similar.

All the help is appreciated.

Ideally you want to remove the whole EGR valve itself, as it sits right in the air flow and does nothing for performance.

Something like this from IRB<---Clicky, I've got one on my Td5, it does away with the whole EGR system, and no, it doesn't cause any ECU faults to flag up.
